iPhone Remote Wipe Using Exchange
My iPhone 3G was stolen recently and I am attempting to remotely wipe all data from it. I am using the "Wipe All Data From Mobile Device" feature in Exchange (2007, I believe) to do this. The current status of the wipe is "Pending." My phone is password-protected but I have a few questions and concerns about the wiping process: 1) Does the wipe begin when the password is entered and the iPhone establishes an internet (3G, WiFi) connection? 2) What data is removed from the iPhone? (apps, texts, contacts?) 3) I read in one forum that the phone has to connect to the Exchange serve before the wipe will begin. Does this mean that just a GENERAL internet connection must be established? or that the phone has to SPECIFICALLY connect to Exchange? 4) If anyone has successfully wiped their iPhone using Microsoft Exchange can you please leave any and all information that you have on your experience? Thanks in advance!

Hi RLWJR, The phone has to connect to Exchange before the wipe will begin. As I know, all data will be wiped.
