how to grant Admistrators and NetworkService full access to ContentSubmitters group ?

Hello Everyone, I am trying to follow this guide here :

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2807668?wa=wsignin1.0

how can I grant Admistrators and NetworkService full access to the group?

the group is on Active Directory , NetworkService I assume is a local exchange server account ?

I am missing something here ..please help... Thanks.

Method 1

  1. Create a new Active Directory group that is named "ContentSubmitters," and then grant Admistrators and NetworkService full access to the group. This is a dummy group and should be used as a placeholder only. You might want to add a description so that the group is not removed.
  2. Force or wait for Active Directory replication.
  3. Restart the following services:
    • Microsoft Exchange Search
    • Microsoft Exchange Search Host Controller

Hi,
You can do that using Active Directory Users and Computer (ADUC).
Security Tab on the Group object.

...but I don't think you need to create the dummy groups if you have installed

Thanks Martina,

Yes, I have CU1 but still face the problem described in the link,

I finally managed to grant permissions , the security tab was not visible so I had to go to option and select show advanced features.

I hope this workaround fix the issue, last night I saw some of the same errors again but I will need to retest some of migrations to confirm that.

It's still present in CU6 actually.

It also exists with Exchange 2013 SP1 CU8 on Windows 2012. I still have the same problem and unable to resolve it although I have created the contentsubmitters group and give it the required security permissions and forced AD replication and restarted the services.

It seems the only resolution to this is to reinstall Exchange 2013 on Windows 2012 R2.
