how to find out what ports exchange 2003 is using
I'm working on a small business server 2003 OS, a different tech setup the exchange mail server. I'm setting up a router but can't find the ports to forward to the server. I tried all the default ports, but it appears the other tech setup a custom port. How can I find the exact port that is being used?

You could run a netstat -an to see what the box is actually listening on.Mark Morowczynski|MCT| MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP:EMA 2K7,EDA Win 7,ES,SA,EA|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com

Yes, Netstate -an wil give you list of port being use by exchange. Where are you putting your router. Is it as a front for internet facing. Ports Used in Exchange Server 2003:: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124075(EXCHG.65).aspx http://www.petrikb.com/ports_used_by_exchange.htm Anil
