Is the database drive on a physical hard drive? Or is this a virtual hard drive (i.e. .vhd file in Hyper-V)?

Is there unallocated space where you could (maybe) expand the existing drive?

Directions will be different depending on the above.

(And if it is a physical disk with no free/unallocated space, you cannot expand anything - but moving db elsewhere remains an option).

Plan an outage. I've seen some disk extensions performed without a restart, others need a restart of the OS.

Another option if you're using physical, is to install another LUN and create a mount point in the C drive. Then move some of the queues or DB's to the mount point, depending on what is on the C drive.
