how to disable server ip address from message header

I am exchange server 2013 setup with sophos for spam filtering.

Security team wants to remove or mask  the mail server ip address from messaging header which is going to external.

Is there any way we can achieve this...

This was possible on Exchange 2010 in theory: http://exchangepedia.com/2008/05/removing-internal-host-names-and-ip-addresses-from-message-headers.html

But I could never see the point...it also increases the possibility of having your email flagged as spam by recipients not to mention being an action outside of the standard.  But each to their own.

Hi Vino,

Thank you for your question.

In above suggestion, there is another link for us to remove internal server ip:

https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/c287e07c-4126-40de-be55-7bef7664bf8a/message-header-displaying-internal-ip-address?forum=exchangesvrsecuremessaginglegacy

Notice: this link also apply to Exchange 2013.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim
