how to create a onenote notebook document as a single file on file system

i have created a onenote notebook which contains some pages.

when i look at its location on file system, i noticed that my onebook is consisted from multiple files & folders for example:

"page1.one , page2.one , open notebook.onetoc2  & a folder called OneNote_recycleBin."

i don't like such structure. i wish it was totally a single file because in that case, working with my notebook & backup process was more simple.

so can i create a notebook so that it be only one single file instead of multiple files?  then can i continue editing that single file ?

thanks alot

Tabs across the top (Sections) are one file each. The pages in each section (in the list down the side) are stored as one, so you'll need to use 1 section and multiple pages within that section to have 1 single file to back up.

Back up the OneNote folder, or store in SkyDrive (Dropbox, iCloud etc) so you always have it available. The recycle bin folder contains deleted pages and doesn't need to be backed up.
