how to change the way an attachment displays
Environment: Exchange 2003 SP2 Standard frontend serverExchange 2003 SP2 Enterprise backend serverIssue:I have a user that is requesting that when he sends an e-mail from his phone with a picture attached, it display the picture in the body of the email instead of an attachment to the message. I tested it from my phone (iPhone) and it shows up as an attachment in Outlook 2010 when sending FROM my exchange (Exchange Active Sync) account, but when i change the FROM on my phone to send the same email from my yahoo account, it shows up in my outlook in the body of the message. So from this, i know the phone is capable of doing this, but what setting am i missing on my exchange server to do this?

It’s not determined by the settings on the exchange server, as I know The picture will show in the message body when the message format is HTML or Rich Text (RTF), so if the user want to display the picture as an attachment, please change the message format to plain text on the phoneJames Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com

I found an answer to my question. It turns out that Exchange 2003 ActiveSync does not support HTML emails. the phones may support them, but as soon as you try and send something out that uses activesync, it converts the message to plain text. I found this on Petri.co.il (http://www.petri.co.il/differences_exchange2003_exchange2007_mobile_features.htm) in case anyone needs to read it. Looking forward to Exchange 2010.
