how to AutoReply to External domains?
hello everyone,I know that, if we want to have an AutoReply feature on external domains, we have to enable in Hub Transport -> Remote Domains tab "Allow Automatic Reply" and "Allow Automatic Forward"... (btw i have an Exchange 2007)my question is next:for example if someone is sending to me a message from outside, i want that he/she got autoreply message (lets say: your message has been delivered)...can i make this with Transport Rule? and if it is possible how...thanks in advance :)

Are you asking if the auto reply can be sent with a request for a delivery receipt?

Not directly with a transport rule that I know of. Usually you'd do this with a server-side rule on the mailbox. You might be able to do it indirectly by having the transport rule write an event log entry, and have an event triggered scheduled task send the email, or you could write an event sink.

I can't tell you how to write an event sink. Do you know how to create a transport rule, and a scheduled task?

No, I mean creating a rule in Outlook on receipt of a new mail that has the server respond with a message. This will create an automatic response to the sender, sent by the server so it will work even when Outlook is not running. It does not have the same kind of process to limit replies to a given recipient that an Out-of-Office rule does, so it is possible to create a mail loop using this type of rule, for instance if the person who's mailbox this rule is on subscribed to a mailing list - their reply would go back to the list, which would generate a new email to them (and everyone else on the list), which would be answered by another autoresponse, and this would go on until the list owner banned them from the list.

from Exchange Management Console -> Organizational Configuration -> Hub Transport -> Transport Rule tab -> new transport rule...but when i tried to create a transport rule there, 1. sent to people (i specified the receipient)2. send the bounce message to sender with enhanced status code (action)3. ignored exceptionsand this rule is rejecting messages which are destined to receipient, and sender receives that his/her message was not delivered.

You don't want the action to be to bounce the message, but to write an event to the event log. You'll need to write the event so that it includes the address of the sender of the email. Also be aware that this will have the same potential to create a mail loop as the server side rule.
