how is email from an outside sender routed and processed?
I am working a problem with emails coming into our network from one of our vendors with very large text. We use a Small Business Server 2008 with Exchange 2007 and our clients use Outlook 2007 and Blackberry devices. Problem: emails are being received from one or two vendors with large texts (about 100 pitch). Analysis: At the Outlook client, reviewed all settings to include zoom, sttionary and font, mail formatting editing (all set to Rich Text or html...none with Word Editor). Clients use Kaspersky AV. Using OWA....also see large text Using BB device, email shows large text Kaspersky AV was removed from server. Still experience problem. ------------------------------------------------ So, the question I have is: when the sender sends an email to our employee, how is it processed and where can the email formatting be altered in that process? Can Exchange Server cause this problem?

Hi Are you using any form of Transport Rules? Does it work from OWA? Jonas Andersson | Microsoft Community Contributor Award 2011 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog | Follow me on twitter: jonand82

Hi Exchange Content conversion is the process of correctly formatting a message for each recipient. The decision to perform content conversion on a message depends on the destination and format of the message that is being processed. Messages that are sent to recipients inside the Microsoft Exchange Server organization don't require any content conversion performed on them. Only messages that are sent to external recipients may require content conversion. So I suggest you follow Jonas’s advice and check transport rules.
