how do i use a external microphone with the microsoft lifecam VX-3000
i have got a microsoft lifecam VX-3000, and the reording quality is not brilliant, so i got a external microphone to use when recording a video with the microsoft lifecam software, so i plugged the externa webcam in and set it as the default device, went onto microsoft lifecam to record a video and it didnt work, the webcams built in recorder was still recording the sound. so i disabled the microsoft webcams microphone, but when i went to record a video it said there wasnt a wecam connected to the computer, so oversly that didnt work. ive tried muteing the microphone to the webcam, but then it just doesnt record any sound. ive tried uninstalling the webcams software, setting the external microphone as the default device, then installing the webcam again and yet again it didnt work, i had the same problem. has anyone got any ideas?thank you.
