i had a problem with my outlook. the inbox would not retrieve my mails. so i thought it was the m office 2013 needs a repair. i did a repair and it failed to repair. next was a choice uninstalling mo2013 and that was what i did on advice. but it seem after many hours of waiting and unsure what took place...the notebook went blank for a while.

i was furious because i had work to do. so when i did get back the desktop... i failed to open the microsoft office 2013. since i had purchased this mo2013 which expires 2016 may... i want to continue to use it. but the problem was where do i begin?

Hi,

According to your description, I have a couple of questions:

  • Which version did you purchased? Office 2013 retail version, Office 365 subscription or other?

They are different, Office 2013 retail key is permanent, they won't expire. Office 365 has subscription plan, it has the end time.

  • Did you get any error message when the Office opened failure? If you have, please share us.

If you are using Office 2013 retail version, please try the following steps:

  • Run Fix it from the following article to remove all traces of Office 2013 and see if it helps.

  • To re-install the Office suite, follow the below mentioned steps:

Go to My Account section from and try downloading and installing the Office suite and verify the result.
www.office.com/myaccount

Note: Ensure that you are logged in with the correct Windows Live ID. You must log in with the same one that your account was created in. You will be able to access the product information in the My Account section. Click on Installnow and follow the onscreen instructions and try installing the Office suite.
