how do i give rights to a junior admin to create and manage mailbox's?
I created a group called tech support and put the new junior admin in this group I looked up a few articles which told me to add the following rights: Exchange View-Only Administrator role delegated on the target administrative group Administer Information Store right granted on the mailbox store where the mailbox resides Write right granted on the mailbox store where the mailbox resides Not to mention i've delegated the user rights on the domain to administer windows 2003 users and groups So here's what happens, i asked the user to create a new user, which is created, but the tech support user is not able to see any of the tabs in the mmc users and computers. When i try to access this newly created user as a admin i get to see only a few of the options under the exchange tabs and it also gives me an access denied error... i'm the freakin admin of the whole domain so how'd that happen?????? In any case i basically want the tech support user to be able to create a user just like i do in the users and computers mmc and be able to administer the exchange tabs and see them the same way i do.... Not sure why the above didnt work, oohh i forgot to mention i actually tried instead of giving the exchange view-only admin role, i changed it to exchange admin role and it still didnt work, so i'm at a total loss at this point. Please help if you have a sec. Thanks.

Ok here's what i figured out.... Totally forgot that even though system manager is not used for this task anymore, you still need to install the EXCHANGE MANAGEMENT TOOLS from the cd in order for it to work.... then just give the rights as described in this article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124053.aspx and your good to go... thanks if anyone has been working on this in any case!!
