Hi all, Exchange 2003 SP2 our internal mail server address are shown as part of the header. How should I change it to an external address? Thank you.

1. Do you mean you want to hide them. If there's no hop after your Exchange then I guess you may not be able to do this. http://exchangepedia.com/2008/05/removing-internal-host-names-and-ip-addresses-from-message-headers.html Sukh

After reading this link and google it, it seems that no native way to hide these headers in Exchange 2003. Is this true? so, no way can hide these internal headers with Exchange 2003. Thank you.

Yes, you can't hide internal header in exchange 2003 but you can hide it in exchange 2007 and exchange 2010 by setting up an EDGE server. Thanks & Regards Madan Sharma

You can change the Smtp banner ans similarly .. you can stop Exchange 2003 server from displaying the internal smtp address. the below link can be useful as it provides you with a similar issue http://www.petri.co.il/change_the_smtp_banner.htm.

Thanks for the link. I mean the header, not SMTP banner. Will smtp banner change the header too?
