get-exchangeserver doesn´t display correct versión
Hello In my office, we have windows server 2008 R2 SP1 domain, and three server with Exchange server 2007 Enterprise versin 8.3 (build 83.6). the first server has the hub-transport, mailbox, client Access roles, the second server has the edge transport role and the third server has the client Access role. These servers have windows server 2003 SP2 when I run the get-exchangeserver command I in the server1 obtain the data following server1 Nombre-predetermi... Mailbox,... Enterprise Version 8.3... server2 Nombre-predetermi... Edge Enterprise Version 8.1... server3 Nombre-predetermi... ClientAc... Enterprise Version 8.3... when I run the get-exchangeserver command I in the server2 obtain the data following server1 Nombre-predetermi... Mailbox,... Enterprise Version 8.3... server2 Nombre-predetermi... Edge Enterprise Version 8.3... server3 Nombre-predetermi... ClientAc... Enterprise Version 8.3... Then Iam little confused, why did not display the correct versin when I ran the command get-excangeserver in the server1 Can you help me please? your ideas are important. Thanks

Are servers 1 and 2 connecting to the same domain controller? Try adding the -DomainController switch to the Get-ExchangeServer command on both servers to see if maybe you're having an AD replication problem.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Thanks Ed Yes, the server1 and 2 are connecting to the same domain controller. I ran get-exchangeserver -domaincontroller mycontrol in server1 sucessfull, but in server2 appear the next message Get-exchangeserver: Active directory operation failed on mycontrol. The supplied credential for server2\administrator on bind operation is invalid. error Code 0x31. At line:1 char:19 + get-exchangeserver <<<<-domaincontroller mycontrol Thanks for your help Greetings

Did you log on with the local machine account? Log on with a domain administrator account.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Hello, the very first step i would suggest you to do is to type control keymgr.dll in the Run command and check whether there are any credentials cached in that window. If yes, remove it re-login to the server If that does not show anything, we can check if there are any events in the application logs. Would be good if you paste them up here.. Make sure you clear the logs and then try to restart the Adtopology service and then check with the events Thanks

Hi, Please try to use domain built-in administrator to logon server1 and then run the cmdlet again to test the issue. Besides, please have a look at the similar thread and then try the steps there. Thanks for your commentaries. I ran the control keymgr.dll and I didnt see any credentials cached in that windows. Next, I incorporated the server2 in the domain without problem and I susbcribed the server2 in exchange again with domain administrator account successfull. Then I newly ran get-exchangeserver command in the server1 and server2; and I obtained the data following In the server1 server1 Nombre-predetermi... Mailbox,... Enterprise Version 8.3... server2 Nombre-predetermi... Edge Enterprise Version 8.1... server3 Nombre-predetermi... ClientAc... Enterprise Version 8.3... But in the server2 this command didnt finish to run. can i make the upgrade of the exchange 2007 to exchange 2010?, although get-exchangeserver show diffrent versions but the servers have the same version Thanks greetings

Fercha, i am suspecting the edge subscritption issue (it's not an issue but it's better you do the re-sync with hub again) as its not synced with the hub trasport server after the version upgrade did you perfom the edge subscription process , if possible do that everything will be in sync . Thanks

Thanks Yes, I have to problem with the subscription in Hub transport, and this message that appear "EdgeSync require that Hub transport servers in Active Directory site Nombre-predeterminado-primer-sitio must be able to resolve the IP address for server2.mydomain.com, and be able to connect to that host on ports 50636" I tell you, this port is open in the firewall.I think that my problem is active directory or DNS, Do you know tools that I will can to verify AD and DNS health? Newly thanks for your ideas
