Hi Any firewall enabled on the servers? Have there been made any type of change lately? Do you receive any error message? Check the queue viewer and post the error message in the threadJonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog

Can you download SMTPdiag and run on your FE server (link below)? Did it ever work? If so, what changed (updates, AV, etc.) http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=bc1881c7-925d-4a29-bd42-71e8563c80a9&displaylang=en Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

dear all i appreciate your all replies and sorry to be late in respond. actually some changed happened as when i applied the recipient filter and sender filter poilcy on smtp virtual server located on FE all spams on FE disappeared and there is no any stuck emails on the 2 BE servers and this a big fault done by me by the way anyway now after recreating the smtp connector on the FE the emails return to the users with the below. You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator. <mail.mydomain.com.eg #5.7.1 smtp;550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for externalemail@gmail.com> so could you help in this as you should know that we have WSUS and i'm afraid if there is a specific update causing this problem and the same time i don't want to uninstall all updates as its dangerous

Send mail to who? Internal or external? And from who? Where? Jonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog

Hi Mohammed_Omar, I want to verify some information regarding to your scenario. 1. Do you want the internal user client(outlook) send email through FE exchange server? Normally we do not use FE server send email to internet, BE could directly send email to internet. It is reommended that the FE just for incoming emails. 2. Yet, you also could the FE as the bridgehead to send out email. Do you mean if delete the connector on your FE server, and then everything works well. Please confirm you have config properly the connector. 3. Per the NDR, it seems the configuration on the FE do not allow the relay for any to send out email. Please check the FE smtp virtual server relay configration "allow all computers which successfully authenticate to relay...", check it and make test. Regards! Gavin
