Is there a reason to have a firewall between the Server the LAN clients? I can see this on the perimeter of your network but not internally.MVP Exchange Server

If you have perimeter security and the LAN is protected, I see no reason to enable Windows Firewall. You can allow the exceptions with ports Mohamed posted to the firewall on the computer. The windows firewall is typically used on a computer that leaves a secure lan and goes outside your network such as a laptop so I can see the need in this case.MVP Exchange Server
