after i did the prerequisites steps and tried to install the exchange server from dvd , i did custom installation but now have another problem Error: Active Directory does not exist or cannot be contaced you much be a member of the 'onranizatin managment ' role group or ' entrpise admins ' group to continue . what it could be the problem ... i only joined my exchange server computer to the Document control server ... Please get the exact error message from the setup logs. Also here are few things you can check..... Make sure that exchange server is a domain member & can ping DC (Domain Controller). Reboot DC(If possible). See if there are any errors in the event logs and later run DCDiag and NetDiag on the exchange server. Make sure local firewall doesn't have any rule that is blocking the important ports. Also see the articles for the reference http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691354.aspx

thank you very much for your replay. im really confused .. what you mean by exchange should be a domain member ? do you mean to right click on computer and put the my DC domain in the domain field ? or i have to do some thing eles ? ping DC you mean ping the IP of DC server ? Basicly my plan like follow : 1- make a separate server for DC , and name of this server is Server2K8DC , and i install domain controller and DNS , the domain name is syamand.com 2- i make another separate server for Exchage , the computer name is Ex2K10 , and joined to domain syamand.com and i want to install only HT and CAS 3- i want to make another separate server for MB do i need to install active directory read only on the EXchanger serers ? I meant by Domain Member is to make sure that exchange is joined in the domain and yes, you need to be able to ping DC ip address from exchange server. Plan looks alright and you need to install Active Directory Domain Services(ie RSAT-ADDS) to the exchange servers.Regards, Pushkal MishrA

i did that all , and i can ping to the DC ip address from exchange server and i install this code from power shell Add-WindowsFeature NET-Framework,RSAT-ADDS,Web-Server,Web-Basic-Auth,Web-Windows-Auth,Web-Metabase,Web-Net-Ext,Web-Lgcy-Mgmt-Console,WAS-Process-Model,RSAT-Web-Server,Web-ISAPI-Ext,Web-Digest-Auth,Web-Dyn-Compression,NET-HTTP-Activation,RPC-Over-HTTP-Proxy -Restart which i believe it will add the necessary things to the exchange but still give me same problem :(

ok , so who to make it part of domain and give permission ?

Here is what you need to do.. Also after successful joining of the machine into the domain, you need to login to the machine with the credential that is a member of "enterprise Admin" group and then proceed with installation. Regards, Pushkal MishrA

its joined to the Domain (syamand.com ) and the name is look like you mentioned see the attached photo screen shot and im logged in with the local administrator user , what you mean by the credential that is a member of "enterprise Admin" group regards Syamand

now is working fine ...i logged in with domain name\ administrator as user name and tried to install the hub and client access .. it was successful thanks for every body Regards
