If you are a very small company, you should look into a Small Business Server Solution or outsource your e-mail.

Sally, it is very possible that you need to look at outsourcing your Exchange / e-mail services to someone else. It really depends on what types of functions you need. John is right, though, Small Business Server might be an answer for your organization, but you should find a competent and trustworthycompany to help you get installed and working for you.
