Hi, When you disconnect a mailbox the AD user is maintained in Active Directory, but the mailbox is moved to the "Disconnected mailboxes" in the management console. The mailbox will remain here until the retension period has gone. /MartinExchange is a passion not just a collaboration software.

Hi, You can permanently delete a disconnected mailbox by using the Remove-Mailbox cmdlet in the Exchange Management Shell. To do this, you need to set the Permanent parameter to $true when you run the command.Regards from www.windowsadmin.info
