Hi, We are running a Exchange server 2007 and we have a GDC which has been crashed recently. Due to this a mandatory account has been deleted. Now the problem is we are not able use that account. Also, we are not able to delete the mail box or if we create a mail box it creates with the name with prefix 2. For example. the account name is ar@example.com. Now we need to delete the mail box and need to create. If we create a account it creates as ar2@example.com But a certain things we are not able to understand in this. Some time we receive the mails to this account and some times it gets bounced. We did deletion by using powershell and command from Microsoft support but no use.We are in a very big crisis, since the account holder/ mail box belongs to a chairperson of the company. Hi, Are u able to disable the mailbox ar@example.com whose user u have deleted? Try to run Disable-Mailbox ar@example.com in Exchange Management Shell, or u can do it using EMC too. If you can disable that mailbox, then u can reconnect this mailbox with some other AD user using Connect-Mailbox command, and then all things will be fine.
