Hi all, Just a question, is there a script that i can run to deleted or archive the exchange logs then delete them once a week. We don't really want to backup the log's as we have no need for this. Thanks in advance.

If you don't want to backup the server, then enable circular logging, and then Exchange will discard the logs on its own. You do NOT delete the logs manually (either yourself or via a script) as that will cause problems with Exchange. Are you not backing up any part of Exchange? You don't actually backup the logs. The logs are designed to fill in the gap between a backup and the failure. If you are backing up the database using an Exchange aware backup application then the logs should be flushed automatically. Microsoft's best practice is to not enable circular logging. Just ensure you're scheduling NT full backup of the storage group. This will commit the logs onto the DB. In addition, check that the online maintenance is running properly. NEVER EVER delete the logs.

That will cover tracking the message until it's time to deliver it to an exteral destinatin.
