exchange ghost/phantom messages
Hi guys,Here is the story ; There is a company called ACME Inc. and they use exchange 2007 as mail server and vista, office 2007 for client computers. One day one of the companies managers (lets call him nick ) sends a confidencialemail to sales personel Jane. Jane gets the message and replies it. Afterfewhoursshe learns that her email goes to few other people along with nick. Than everything goes crazy because that confidencial mail becomes a public email. Jane double checks her outlook but there is no any trace ofevidence that she might send it by mistake. She checkssent box, draft, outbox but she cant find anything. She calls IT guy mikeand they also checks together once again. Mike couldnt find anything to cause this apocalipse. He runs some test on exchange server but it seems to be ok. He check server and client computer with spyware, antivirus, and etc... but no luck. He cant find anything reasonable that can be cause. After few hours of googling result doesnt change. Then he learns from one of the oldest emloyees that the same exact problem was occured couple years ago during the moving process of server from one hosting company to another. But that time things were even more crazier than nowbecause emails were sending from one account to another all day longeven computers wereturned off. Now he keeps googling in order to find some hope or at least another desperate IT guy like himself to share the pain...

Hi, Please use message tracking center to see if the recipients are correct. At the same time, please send a test email to see if you can reproduce the issue. What does the email like received by others people? From Jane and To Nick? Just like they are BCCed? Thanks, Elvis

reciepents are correct andthe thing is we are not able to reproduce the issue by just sending emails. Its happening in an unexpected time with unexpected email. The email people got is like sended direct to those peoplefor examplelast time message supposed to only jane to nick but it also went to bunch of people like jane to person1, jane to person2, jane to person3, jane to person4, jane to person5. And the message that those guys got is actual message not bcc. Pleace some advice otherwise we are going to reinstall exchange because of this problem. we can not afford to send even one private email to unintended person...
