exchange admin centre

in a hybrid setup (i.e. part cloud, part on-premise), does the exchange admin centre console:

1) List settings and configurations for both the cloud and on-premise mailboxes? or is it just a management tool for the on-premise server, and then presumably there is a different tool for the 365 mailboxes?

2) is there any easy way to export all the relevant configurations you can see in the exchange admin console out to say a XLSX spreadsheet in a single go? For audit/configuration management purposes.

When you go into Exchange Control Panel, there are two tabs at the top, one for Enterprise and one for Office365, They are there regardless if you are in Hybrid mode or not. You need to switch between for specific information about each environment once you are configured for both on-prem and cloud.

As for the export of information, yes you can export out information, but I think you would have a better experience using the Shell to get out information about the environment, as for auditing, there are built in reports for Mailbox and Admin auditing. I think they are under Compliance Management but again, you can use the Search-MailboxAuditLog cmdlet to get this information quickly.

Hi cf090,

Thank you for your question.

1) List settings and configurations for both the cloud and on-premise mailboxes? or is it just a management tool for the on-premise server, and then presumably there is a different tool for the 365 mailboxes?

A: EAC will list all setting and configuration for both cloud and on-premise mailbox. We could refer to the following link:

http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2012/09/20/the-cloud-on-your-terms-part-ii-managing-hybrid.aspx

2) is there any easy way to export all the relevant configurations you can see in the exchange admin console out to say a XLSX spreadsheet in a single go? For audit/configuration management purposes.

A: The configuration of Exchange is stored in the domain. You don't save the configuration of Exchange on its own. we suggest we export to CSV instead of XLSX,We could export/import to CSV file, we could download this tool from the following link:
