exchange 2010 instaleren op hyper-v
I understand from my education in small business server 2008 that you must include vt in intel and amd-v in amd processor to deploy hyper-v,and hardware dep must be available and enabeled.I have intel processor and when I looked into bios of my computer I see that vt is enabled but I don't see anything about dep in my bios witch is intel xd bit for intel and amd nx bit for amd processor.I know you can enable dep in system properties witch is software depend. my question is can I still build hyper-v in server 2008 and install exchange server 2010 in virtual machine without having dep function in bios. thanks hovhannesh.david

Yes you can install Exchange 2010 on hyper-v but you need to enable first the Virutalization from bios to support Hyper-v. For more information on Hyper-v you can post this issue on this forum http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserverhyperv/threads Thanks Mhussain

Hi Try to install Hyper-V and create virtual machine. If it works you probably have all reqired features on processor already enabled. Otherwise it will throw you an error. Regards M

Hello David, Hyper-V is supported in SBS 2008 server. To install Hyper-V you need to enable VT in the BIOS. You can check with these tools. I believe few motherboard manufacturers Disable hardware virtualization option in the BIOS, may be DEP option of your motherboard completely disabled. Please run the following tool to get the DEP support information. http://www.grc.com/securable.htm I believe it should support as most of the new machines have this feature by default. Please check motherboard manual / documentations or You can also contact the manufacturer of the motherboard to get more support. In Windows 2008 server you need to install Hyper-V role. Make DC on Host OS and exchange 2010 on guest OS. Thanks
