Hi

There may even be some default privileges being used.
You need to provide more information about the server you're trying to connect to?
Is this a service you have access to. Is it configured to use LDAP?
Is it a password-less setup?
Can you access the  backup path normally ?

Also You have to give the path to the parent folder of ImageBackup folder.

E.g.: \\computer\share The <share> directory contains ImageBackup folder.

So where f is the share name of the newly shared entire volume F: that contains F:\WindowsImageBackup

Hi activenew,

Thank you for your question.

In addition Sathishs advice, we have backup database to remote shared folder in remote server before we recover database.

If we backup database to local server, we should choose this server(servername)before we recovery database:

In this case,by my test, we just put UNC which is \\servername\backup, then we could recovery it successfully.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim

Hi activenew,

I will give you an example:

  1. The name of NAS is NAS1
  2. Create a shared folder named backup
  3. Backup database on local on Exchange server
  4. Run \\NAS1\backup on Exchange server, then cope WindowsImageBackup to backup on NAS1
  5. Recovery database from remote folder, we could type \\NAS1\backup in your snapshot
  6. Then we could recovery database successfully

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim
