exchange 2010 along side public folder from exchange 2003
We are going to deploy a new exchange 1010 , We will have 2 EXCHANGE SERVERS 1X Exchange 2003 std 1x exchange 2010 std All mailboxes will be housed on exchange 2010 All public folder instances will be housed on exchange 2003 Can we have all mailboxes on excvhange 2010 server and keep all public folders on exchange 2003 server? how can we ensure access to the public folders for outlook clients ?Leaf Consultancy NI www.leafconsultancy.com

Yes you can have, you just need to make sure that Mailbox Database on 2010 is associated with Public Folder of 2003 server. Rest is fine. Move one mailbox on to the new server 2010 and try to access the Public Folders using Outlook or OWA it will work.
