hi all am new to exchange, how can i setup exchange for accessing it from the internet. what are the steps to configure pop3 and imap, so the users can configure the outlook to send and recieve mails.. and wat are the steps for outlook anywhere, can i setup it with out purchasing a certificate. :) thanks in advance..

You shouldn't be planning to connect Outlook to Exchange via POP3 or IMAP4 because neither provide as good an experience as MAPI. You should be planning on using Outlook Anywhere and Autodiscover. You can find the steps for deploying Outlook Anywhere in the Exchange 2010 documentation in TechNet. Outlook doesn't talk to a Unified Messaging server. A Unified Messaging server connects your Exchange server to your phone system to allow voice mail to be deposited into the mailbox store.
