exchange 2007 Last Full Backup field is blank -UPDATED
We are doing a report on when the last full backup of the databases was performed, but the last full backup field is blank. This is true for all the databases we have! We are using Legato Networker to do the backups and it reports that it completed successfully, but not if you do a get-mailboxdatabase, that filed is blank. Anyone know why this field is blank? If I use the GUI it shows when the last full backup occurred, but from powershell it does not, the field is blank. Thanks!

Hello,Could you pleaserun ExBPA and confirm that it doesn't report that the database hasn't been backuped for so long?... What type of backup do you take? You take full snap shot backup, streaming or VSS backup of your exchange? Arun Kumar | MCSE - 2K3 + Messaging | ITIL-F V3

We are doing streaming backups. the are completing successfully. If I use ESM it does show the date and time of the last full backup. If I use powershell, that field is blank.

Ok, so here is a plan.Create one new storage group and a new test mailbox store in to it.Create one test mailbox in to it and just do some activity to ensure you can create around 10-15 logfiles. Now take a full backup using your backup software and check the status using get-mailboxdatabase and see what it shows... and after that take a fullbackup using NTBACKUP and check the status accordingly.Just wanted to confirm there is nothing wrong in the database/backup software.Arun Kumar | MCSE - 2K3 + Messaging | ITIL-F V3

Hi,If you didn't add parameter -status, it will be empty. Please run the following command:Get-MailboxDatabase "My Database" -status | select *backup* | flGet-MailboxDatabasehttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124924.aspxThanks,Elvis

We are having the same issue. netbackup reports the backup successful, but "last full backup" is blank in the gui on one of our CCRs, and has a two week old date on the other CCR. We are using VSS, and backing up the passive nodes first (although we tried backing up the active node too, with the same results0
