exchange 2007
Hi, I have a 2003 server with exchange 2007. Ineed to install another exchange 2007 for same domain as the first one is running out of space. Any one please let me know wat shd be done. I need to remove old exchange or can use it. I need the old database also. Thanks n regards kiran.S Server admin gov.

well i´m not sure but i think you cannot remove the first exchange 2007 since this is the coexistence server to 2003, so routing gruops and connectors are pointing to this server, you should install the other exchange 2007 and move all the mailboxes to it and leave the 1st exch2k7 as a routing server.CapecolMCSA - MCTS Exchange Server 2007 - 2010

Hi, Please refer to the following article: Moving Exchange Servers to New Hardware and Keeping the Same Server Name http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb332343(EXCHG.80).aspx All Exchange related configurations are stored in Active Directory. We don't need to worry about routing group connectors or other settings are missing. Thanks, Elvis
