i have one server with 62GB total capacity. in my exchange folder prev1.mdb had too much size nearly 32GB. i take archieve for some users who is using big capacity mailbox. then this prev1.mdb is not decrease. i have 18 gb is remaining in my server. if can i reduce the size of prev1.mdb i will get above 40 gb free. what can i do for reducing the size of priv1.mdb. ? offline defragment of exchange is enough for that. if i do this offline defragmentaion it has any side effect for my server? please give me advice

Hi, If you really need the space an offline defragmentation is your only option. This should not have any bad effects on your server. Before you run the eseutil /d look for event 1221 in the application log - this event will tell you how much space can be gained. Leif
