Hi There I am receiving the following error in event viewer on SBS 2003 with Exchange 2003. Metabase Update failed replication 5 times with error 80070003 (The system cannot find the path specified.). Please change the diagnostic logging level of MSExchangeMU to 'minimum' or greater to find the source of the problem. I have tried the following:- 1. Run IIS Metabase Explorer 2. Locate ServerName\LM\Logging, right click AdminACL and choose copy (admin acl property) 3. Go back to Root (Server) and Right Click and Paste After that, please right click the Root (Server) and click Permissions. Then add the appropriate permission: Admin Full Control (sure already be there) Local Service Read Network Service Read IIS_WPG Read Then, please remove DS2MB key and restart the System Attendant service to test the issue again. AND.... - Backup the Metabase - Stop the Msexchangesa - Using Metaedit delete the DS2MB key - Using Metaedit delete the SMTPSVC/1/domain key - Restart the Msexchangesa Neither of the above have worked. Please help?? ThankS

Do that and then post the complete error event from the application log. "C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv" is where the metabase.bin and metabase.xml files should be. Has the permission on that directory changed? Have you tried rebooting the server? --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Do you have a backup of the metabase file (made after installing Exchange)? If you do, restore it and then restart the SA service. Beyond that, I think it'd be a good idea to get some help from someone in another forum (IIS or O/S) that deals regularly with problems like this. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
