error 8 code 37 not reading USB after installing Windows Steady State
I hope this is in the right Forum. .ExternalClass .EC_hmmessage P {padding:0px;} .ExternalClass body.EC_hmmessage {font-size:10pt;font-family:Tahoma;} I have installed the hotfix and no improvement. What now? The USB is recognised but I get code 37 and cannot read any devices, I have tried 4 different USB memory sticks including IronKey which was in when I tried to install Steady State which is installed but went wrong when I selected Protect the hard disc. Windows XP Please help.captrjslog@hotmail.com

Amits right, please use proper forum in order to obtain resolution from experts As a non-expert on the windows client, I think you can check if USB interface is ok on the problematic PC, those memory sticks are working on other PC, right? And you can disable all non-microsoft services and check if thats the cause How to disable the non-microsoft services: a. Start->Run->msconfig b. In the Services tab, click "Hide All Microsoft Services" and click "Disable All" c. In the Startup tab, click "Disable All". Click OK. d. Restart the computer and then check the issue
