embedding images in Word doc when converting from HTML

Hello,

I am new to this, so please forgive any ignorance of protocol.

I have a vb.net application that programmatically uses MS Word to open an HTML document and then save it as a .doc file for further conversion to PDF. Everything worked fine when using Word 2003. I have upgraded to Word 2010 and now the graphics that are included in the HTML are only linked when they were previously embedded. The HTML is a simple img tag with a scr attribute pointing to the location of the image to insert.

How can I programmatically tell Word 2010 to embed the image instead of just linking to it?

Thank you,

Steve

Hi Steve,

According to your description, I tested with my local environment (Word 2013 & Word 2010). I can reproduce this issue with the two versions.

The images have been inserted as hyperlink, not embedded as an object.

I have collected the information and submit with our internal channel.

Thanks for your feedback.
