email with 2 gig attachment keeps bloating Mail.gue and stopping Exchange Transport Service.
I have renamed the D:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\TransportRoles\data\Queue folder several times and ran the eseutil /d and /p against it. Everytime I turn the Transport service back on it recreates the Queue and starts delivering mail untill the file gets to aprox 4GIG and then the service shuts down. I belive this was cause by sending a movie file that was 2GIGs as an attachment twice thru email. How do I stop this? Here is the error from the event viewer application log.... Transport Mail Database: A database operation has encountered a fatal error. The Microsoft Exchange Transport service is shutting down. Exception details: Microsoft.Exchange.Isam.IsamCheckpointDepthTooDeepException: too many outstanding generations between checkpoint and current generation (-614) at Microsoft.Exchange.Isam.?A0xf73de38c.HandleError(Int32 err) at Microsoft.Exchange.Isam.Interop.MJetSetColumn(MJET_TABLEID tableid, MJET_COLUMNID columnid, Byte[] data, MJET_GRBIT grbit, MJET_SETINFO setinfo) at Microsoft.Exchange.Transport.Storage.DataStreamImmediateWriter.Write(Int64 position, Byte[] data) Thanks, Mark

Hi I belive this was cause by sending a movie file that was 2GIGs as an attachment twice thru email. How do I stop this? find the 2gb email from the queue viewer and delete it without sending ndr, if it is trying to resend the data. Check the sender outlook, if it is in outbox delete it.

Sounds like its being resubmitted by the client. Can you delete from the user's outbox? If you can't via Outlook, logon to OWA and delete from the outbox there. If this is Exchange 2010, logon to OWA Light to view the outbox.

Hi, Why do you think the problem is caused by sending a 2 GB movie file? By default, you will not be allowed to send a message which is more than 10 MB. Please check your Maximum send size setting under EMC-Organization Configuration->Hub transport->Global Settings->Transport settings.
