email encryption

fairly broad question what is needed to send and receive encrypted emails?

using exchange 2010 on sbs 2011

is it just getting email certificates?

Hi Mattie,

If you want to transport encrypted emails, certificate is an essential part.

By default, in Exchange 2010, Setup will create a self-signed certificate, and Transport Layer Security (TLS) is enabled. This enables any sending system to encrypt the inbound SMTP session to Exchange.
