double email addresses
i have an exchnger server 2003 I have multiple domains on it. i already hae a email address faults@ domainA.com I want to make a new user with the address faults@domainB.com when i try to create a new user with the second email address i get the error user already exisits How can i create a new user without using the default profile so i can define the "non default" address.

The user account and the email address are completely independent. It sounds like you are trying to create a user with the username of faults - that will probably not work. Therefore create a user with the username of fault.domain2 or something like that. Doesn't matter what it is, as long as it is different. After creating the user, go back in to the properties, email addresses and adjust the email address so that your preferred email address is the default. That might mean you have to remove the email address from the first account before you can apply it to the second account, and that can involve a slight delay while the domain catches up with the configuration change. Hi Nick, Did you add the domainb.com as a domain? Do it trough the internet wizard and you can add some more domains. When you done that you can do two things: 1. Make a new user who is unique, you just can??t have two identical users 2. Add the the faults@domainb.com as secondary SMTP address on the user. Ivan
