domain admins access other mailboxes
hi In Exchange 2003, thedomain admins group in our enterprise were able to access other staff mailboxes by typing http://exchangeserver/exchange/username , this was required if a member of staff was ill and we needed to get into another users emails. We seem to have lost this ability in 2007, does anyone know how this functionality works in 2007? thanks

When you're done, have them remove thepermission.nd Exchange admins (and members of other privilegedgroups) are explicitly prohibited from opening mailboxes. It was thatway in Exchange 2003, too. If it was working differently then it wassomething you did to remove the "Deny" ACE in the inheritedpermissions.---Rich MatheisenMCSE+I, Exchange MVP--- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Use /Ows instead.---Rich MatheisenMCSE+I, Exchange MVP--- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
