do I have to use my domain name?
I am installing a fresh copy of a Windows Server 2008 64-bit which will also have Microsoft Exchange 2007 and I want to know if it's recommned to use my real domain name on the server, I mean the same domain which i am hosting my website on or not?if i use my real domain name then I won't be able to browse the website on or webmail on the same network? that was the problem earleir in the windows erver 2003? any fix or suggesstion?Jassim Rahma

Always recommneded to keep domain.local for AD domain and AD.com for SMTP domain.Raj

my current domain is ssg.ms but i am going to change it to silverstarglobal.local later..is it ok to go ahead with the Exchange installation before changing it or I should change it now?Jassim Rahma

Yes. If you have plans to change your internal domain name then i would say you change it now before installing Exchange. There are so much of complications renaming Domain name after installing exchange. Hi,You need to change the domain name before installing Exchange 2007. That is not supported to change the name after installing Exchange 2007.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925822ThanksAllen
