distribution group rights
Can anyone tell me how I grant a user the right to send mail from the address/alias of a distribution group to which they belong? Exchange 2003.

Hi, If you want user to Send on Behalf that DL, then add that user in Send On behalf to area in of DL properties in DSA.MSC. or if you want User to Send As the DL, then Add the User in Security Tab of that DL's Properties and grant Send As rights. Note that If "Send As" is granted then "Send on Behalf" will not work. Thanks. Vishal Ramnani | MCITP - Exchange 2007 | MCSE Messaging | MCTS - Win 2008 Config

I dont see a security tab on the properties of that distribution group... or any other for that matter. Is this a permission (for me) or am i missing something?

:) You have to enable Advance Features in DSA.MSC. Open DSA.MSC, Click View menu and Click Advance features. Now open the properties of DL. Thanks.Vishal Ramnani | MCITP - Exchange 2007 | MCSE Messaging | MCTS - Win 2008 Config
