distribution group
Hi, As per my experience, when sender is in group1 and send emails to group1, sender will receive the emails. This situation is by design. If the sender doesn’t want to receive the emails, he can configure Outlook rule to delete the emails in his client, which you can refer to the following steps: Open Outlook 2010->Rules->Create Rule->Advanced Options->select ‘from xx’ and ‘send to xx’->Next->select ‘delete it’->Next->Next->Finish If it doesn't work, please let us know. I dont have your Exchange version but what you do is go into the properties of the group (in either ADUC or EMC depending on your version) and there will be something like Delivery Restrictions. You can specify people who can and cannot send to the group. Look for it and if you get completely lost just come back and let people know what your version is and we can walk you through step by step. Its not difficult though so you should be ok. Mark Arnold, Exchange MVP. Sorry about lack of information. I have Exchange 2010 sp1 Enterprise I don't need to restrict group, what i need is explain in this scenario: 1. User Tom is in group IT. 2. Tom send email to distribution group IT 3. And email is send to all user-s in that IT group 4. Email Message is also send to sender(Tom) 5. Is there any way to make message to not be sent to sender in this example is (Tom) Something like role so when user send to distribution group email to not be send to sender. Is there any way to do this in exchange 2010 sp1

The e-mail should not be sent to the sender even if he/she is part of the DL... Could someone have a forwarding rule to Tom or something similar? You can also check the Message Tracking Logs to see from "where" the e-mail is coming when arriving at Tom's mailbox. http://LetsExchange.blogspot.com
