hii have a mailbox of a user that works fine,and i have the same user mailbox also in my disconnected mailboxhow can this happen?

Hi, This happens when u previously disable the mailbox for that user either using EMC or EMS, and then later mail-enabled the disconnected user either using EMC or EMS (Enable-Mailbox command). In this case u had to connect (enable) the disabled mailbox but instead u enabled a new mailbox for the disconnected AD user. Hi, If that old disconnected mailbox is not important to you and doesn't contain any important emails or data then u can remove that using EMS like get-mailboxstatistics -server MBXServer| Where{($_.DisconnectDate -ne $null) -and ($_.DisplayName -eq 'DisplayName')}| foreach {remove-mailbox -database $_.database -storemailboxidentity $_.mailboxguid } Replace the DisplayName to what display name that mailbox has, and server to MailboxServer, and then run this command. it will not affect the current active mailbox of the user?

Hi, Yes it wont affect the current mailbox at all bcoz current mailbox is a separate mailbox in the Mailbox Database. You can check emails contained in this disconnected mailbox by reconnecting it to some other AD user, and then checking emails in OWA for that user.
