deleting log files on a clustered ccr
I have yet to install the backup agent to backup my mailstore and have log files piling up. Can I just delete some of them to free up the free space and will that deletion replicate to the other node? I know this is not the best practice it is a temporary solution I am looking for. Thanks

Take a look at the article below, it will go into detail on how to determine what log files can be deleted. If at all posible i would wait till you have a backup solution in place. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb219028.aspx The article does not explain if the process if different for CCR. With the acception to CCR the Exchange Server Analyzer can be run to determine the logs that are no longer required. Run the Database Recovery Management tool. In Microsoft Exchange Server2007, the tool is listed under Database recovery tools in the Toolbox in the Exchange Management Console. The Exchange Server Analyzer can automatically determine which log files can be safely removed and will copy them to a backup location for you. We strongly recommend that you use the Exchange Server Analyzer to move log files.

Absolutely do NOT delete the log files manually. In situations like this, I just use the Windows Backup utility, select the Exchange server you want to back up and then just back up the data to a file (rather than to a tape). You can keep the file on another server, you get a good backup, and the log files are purged. Happy day.
