deleted acepted domain still active and generating NDR
In Exchange 2007 we moved an accepted domain from our exchange to google apps , i removed the domain from the accepted domains tab , and deleted all domains addresses associated with our users. Then we send mails to this domain but outlook and owa autoresolve to our internal users. If i check the outlook properties of the user , the removed domain its still appearing as the primary mail address. I checked the properties in EMC and the removed domain address do not appear. In Act Dir the user show the old email address and i changed manually but the problem still exist. Any ideas ?? TeKi

How did you removed email address of deleted domain from all users ? Before you remove an accepted domain, verify that the domain name is not referenced in any e-mail address policy. If you remove an e-mail address policy that is used by recipients as the primary e-mail address policy, and no other e-mail address policies have been configured for recipients, the default e-mail address policy will be used. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997275(EXCHG.80).aspx Now you have to update email address policy for recpinets to correct this problem : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996869(EXCHG.80).aspx Some more reference's:: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998940(EXCHG.80).aspx http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125181(EXCHG.80).aspxAnil

Quote: “Then we send mails to this domain but outlook and owa autoresolve to our internal users” You mean it resolved to internal users’ display name after clicking the checkname button? Quote: “If i check the outlook properties of the user , the removed domain its still appearing as the primary mail” Where is the “outlook properties”? Does the issue still appear if you manually enter the e-mail address and send the mail via OWA? Where is the outlook properties? -pointing the mouse over the mail address , a submenu appears and look in Outlook properties. Does the issue still appear if you manually enter the e-mail address and send the mail via OWA? -i try it in Outlook , OWA with the same results. the error in NDR is this #550 5.2.0 STOREDRV.Deliver: The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service reported an error. The following information should help identify the cause of this error: "MapiExceptionUnknownUser:16.18969:A6000000 Fortunately, this issue is gone , on friday we have problems with one of our two DC. After several login attempts we hard reseted the server from button and apparently all works ok now. Is this problem expected even if the other DC/GC was online and working ? The another DC have all the FSMO roles and its GC too.TeKi
