define mail size limits and allow 1 user to exceed
Hi, My exchange server has a limit of 5MB per mail. But I need to bypass this settings for 1 user. this is possible? I tryed to set in the user limits, but the user still can´t send mail to external users. then I increased the limit to 30Mb in organization and created a transport rule to bounce the message if the message have attch with more than 5 MB, but I can´t limit the msg size, only the attachment size. any ideas? i´m searching in the forum but didn´t find the solution yetFoi util? Hi Alexandre, In Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010, you can set on mailboxes’ message size restrictions to achieve the goal: Exchange Management Console->Recipient Configuration->mailbox Properties->Mail Flow Settings->Message Size Restrictions->set Maximum message size(for sending message size) to 5120 Kb. You can set this for all the mailbox except the special user, after that if your other setting (global setting, connector setting, server setting) are allowed to send emails more than 5M. The special user can send emails more than 5 M, but others cannot. You can use this command to bulk set for users: get-mailbox -ResultSize unlimited | foreach{ set-mailbox -identity $_.Name -MaxSendSize 5120KB} Note: when you use this command, please remember to remove this setting for that special user.
