daylight saving update for Exchange
Can someone give me a quick summary what is the correct procedure for patching Exchange servers with daylight saving time? It seems the article keep getting updated and revised. I have read the following article How to address the daylight saving time changes in 2007 by using the Time Zone Data Update Tool for Microsoft Office Outlook http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931667/en-us Let me know if this is correct For Windows 2003 server, 1. Patch Windows 2003 server 2. Patch Exchange 2003 with service pack 2 3. Patch Exchange 2003 with DST updates 4. Run TimeZone Data Update Tool Can either the client or the server TimeZone Update be run multiple times? Should Exchange 2003 with DST updates run first or TimeZOne Data Update tool run first? Jimmy

Time Zone UPdate Tool should be run last after all server OS, Exchange, and workstation OS patches have been installed. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931667explains what happens if you run the tool multiple times and why you should or shouldn't. Ken
