database problem or not?
First: I do not have very much experience on this, but please have a look on this: One of the users on my customer's network (smallbusiness server 2003 SP1) cannot receive mail on his primaryaccount. Mail is recieved from WAN, and accordig to the logs, delivered to the mailbox store. But the new mails cannot be seen in the inbox (outlook 2003 and/or OWA). However, when i send a mail to a ditstributionlist, of which he is a member, the mail arrives just as it should!! Do we have a database problem in the mailbox store? In that case I thought of dismounting / mounting, or else using ESEUTIL (when dismounted) Can you agree on this, or am I missing someting?? (mailboxsizes are OK, mailbox store is in total 10 BG, of wgich this user uses 3 GB (former administrator did not configure mailbox limits) Greetings

The database is probably OK. Check your app log for database related errors (MSExchangeIS source). Perhaps the user has some funky server-side rules setup?

problem solved! the user had some message rules configured in outlook. apparently one rule was buggy. After deleting the rules I saw an extra folder in deleted items with all "lost e-mails" in it. Soindeed a user-side setting. But learned a lot so to say
