creating mailboxes with alias as username instead of firstandlast name
Hi All, I’ve just installed Exchange 2010. I'm trying to create mailboxes but instead of generating alias from usernames it generates from firstname and lastname as you know. Our both username and current pop3 mail account format is like firstname.lastname@blabla.com. Anyone has a solution? Pls advise. Thanks.

Hi, I think you can change that from : Start EMC - Organization COnfiguration - Hub Transport - Email address policies. 1. Create a new Email Address Policy with a higher priority than the default Have a look into this link: http://answers.oreilly.com/topic/1240-how-to-create-and-manage-exchange-server-2010-e-mail-address-policies/ Ripu Daman Mina | MCSE 2003 & MCSA Messaging

Hi, I agree with Ripu. You can try to create a e-mail address policies. During the wizard, when it ask you to add e-mail addresses, we will have "SMTP E-mail Address" window pop up. There please select "First name.last name".
