converting an AD security list to have an email address as well in EMC 2007
Hi there,I have an AD security list that I want to add an address to. However, I cannot see it through EMC 2007 to add on the address.I have added an email address in the properties in AD, and also temporarily told it to become a distribution list (i still need it as a security list).I have tried to add the address in EMC 2007 through 'new dist group' - 'existing list', but it cannot see the list, one 'exchange admins' etc.My purpose is to have the users in these old security lists (based on loactions), which gives them several critical rights, but attach an email address to the lists to create a more effective company location based distribution list. Any ideas? Thanks.A

These are Active Directory global or local group objects that are mail-enabled. In Exchange 2007, you can create or mail-enable only universal distribution groups ---------Refer to <Managing Distribution Groups> Please verify the Group scope of your security list, and make sure its UniversalJames Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com
