is it a PoP3 server? of so then you need to configure the incoming/outgoing mail servers in outlook. http://www.nucleustechnologies.com/datarecoveryblog/how-to-create-new-outlook-profile/ last resort i will also try reconfiguring the OL profileVinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

Is it usingDNS to find the correct target server and then trying to send the mailt is, does your ISP allow the use of SMTP(port 25) for that purpose, or do they insist that you use their SMTPrelay servers? If the ISP wants you to use their SMTP relay server then you shouldcreate a SMTP Connector (or a Send Connecor if you're running Exchange2007) for this purpose. Give it an address space of "*" and change thedelivery method to "smart host". Put the name of the ISP's SMTP relayserver into the edit box (or the IP address, surrounded by "[" and"]"). If the ISP only allows authenticate users to relay you'll haveto enter an appropriate user-id and password in there, too.---Rich MatheisenMCSE+I, Exchange MVP--- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
