cannot receive incoming mail
We are running exchange Serveer 2003 Outgoing mail is OK. Internet connection is OK. All exchange services are running OK And I stopped and rebooted exchange services & even rebooted server. any suggestions as to why I am not "receiving" mail. (no messages in any of the queues). I also tried to telnet frorm an external location and the connection was immediately dropped. So, it sounds like a problem connecting to my exchange server. Any suggestions ? Regards ColdPolarBear

Hi, There is no antispam/antivirus server between the internet and the exchange server that could cause this problem? When you did the telnet test - was it the exchange smtp banner you saw? Leif

Try to check your mx records,on internet domain or with your isp. At your local dns check mx record it is there or not ?. Plz expalin your incoming mail flow like---are you using any fe server?,isa?,any firewall in between your exchange server, anti virus?. Mcafee used to block port 25 check. Bottom line-For incoming mail flow few things should be in place like-mx at isp and local dns server end.you should be able to telnet on your public ip port 25 from internet.
